PED - Pressure Equipment Directive
Conformity assessment for the certification of pressure equipment.
The PED Directive (2014/68/EU – recast 97/23/EC – Pressure Equipment Directive) is part of the EU law governing the manufacture and distribution of pressure equipment and containers, and in particular the certification of products and components and the qualification of materials, personnel and processes.
Service Details:
- assessment of the conformity of pressure equipment and assemblies (see Annex III)
- approval of the quality system of the materials manufacturer (Annex I, section 4.3)
- certification services on junctions and non-destructive tests (Annex I, sections 3.1.2 and 3.1.3)
Complementary services:
- qualifies welding processes and welders according to all recognised international codes and standards
- qualification and approval of operators of non-destructive tests in accordance with all recognised international codes and standards.
